Global Agency of Geosciences Experts

02-04d Sequence Strat Intro

Objectives

To understand how sea level and tectonics control sediment supply in various depositional environments and how these sediments can be interpreted as discreet packages in the subsurface. How these packages can be defined using seismic, biostratigraphy, lithostratigraphy and wireline logs in the subsurface and how to construct a chronostratigraphic interpretation of events.

Who should attend

Anyone with a scientific background that wishes to understand how sedimentation is reflected in the subsurface and how it can be interpreted in a sequence-based manner.

Prerequisites

A background in geosciences is required.

Duration

5 days.
